Doctor/patient, teacher/pupil, boss/secretary, slave-driver/slave,
conductor/fare evader... There's no end to the variation
of power-games that couples can and do indulge in, taking
ordinary day-to-day relationships and playing them out
together sexually.
So what is all this really about?
Why do we do it? Well it is, of course, possible to
have sex without any powerplay at all, but there's no
doubt that, for many of us, a little pretence here and
there can really spice things up. And for some couples,
the full-blown character-play of pretending to be doctors
and nurses, for example, can become an integral and
recurrent part of their sexual relationship; many keep
outfits in their wardrobes especially for the purpose
of a bit of role- and sexy fun!
Daunted by the thought of introducing
a bit of serious role-playing? Try wangling it into
the conversation as a joke at first. Let it be known
that it's a joke you find very arousing. Or try a few
role-play whisperings while you're making love - 'Am
I very naughty?' is a good starter for a number of role-playing
roles. Most men will pick up the hint quickly and willingly,
once you've sown the seed of the idea.
Create the right atmosphere for the
character who is taking center stage. For example, if
he’s dressed as Zorro, place candles around the
room and scatter flower petals on and around the bed.
Spanish music is an absolute must. When he makes his
grand entrance (resplendent in cape and sword), allow
this masked marvel to seduce you.
Be sure to stay in character during
the foreplay as well as the intercourse. Let yourself
go! When it’s your turn to dress up, get into
it! If you’re dressing as Wonder Woman, for instance,
tie him up with the lasso of truth and make him confess
his undying desire for you before you have your way
with him. The goal here is to just throw yourself into
the silliness of the situation and leave your inhibitions
at the door.
If you can’t resist the temptation
of both dressing up at once, why not choose complementary
characters such as Han Solo and Princess Leia? (Star
Wars sex is outta this world—literally!) Or transform
into an Arabian prince and exotic belly dancer. Decorate
your bedroom in colorful silks and fabrics, candles
glowing in every corner. Feast on wine and grapes with
your prince until he decides to take you as his sex
slave.... The possibilities here are indeed endless.
Playing fictional characters between the sheets allows
you to take your role-play games to a whole new level.
